Hooktap Feature: Smart Notifications & Automatic Status Detection

Hooktap Feature: Smart Notifications & Automatic Status Detection

Hooktap Just Got Smarter

This update introduces smarter notifications, automatic status detection, and deep link support - making webhook alerts more intelligent and more useful in real-world workflows.

No additional setup required.

Automatic Status Detection

Hooktap now automatically detects the status of incoming events based on keywords in the title or body.

Events are categorized into four visual states:

  • 🟢 Green – success, passed, deployed, 200, healthy
  • 🔴 Red – error, failed, crash, 500, critical
  • 🟠 Orange – warning, timeout, degraded, 401, 403
  • 🔵 Blue – started, running, queued, triggered

The color of Live Activities and notifications adjusts automatically.

No rules. No configuration.

Just send your webhook.

Urgent Delivery (Time-Sensitive)

Certain critical keywords automatically mark notifications as Time-Sensitive.

These alerts:

  • Break through Focus Mode
  • Are delivered with priority
  • Ensure critical failures don’t go unnoticed

Perfect for errors, crashes, or production issues.

Deep Link Support

Hooktap now supports optional deep links using dot-notation paths inside your JSON payload.

Example:

If your webhook includes:

pull_request.html_url

Tapping the notification can open that URL directly.

This turns notifications into actionable workflow shortcuts - especially useful for GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and internal tools.

Smarter Webhook Notifications

Hooktap is no longer just about receiving webhook events.

It now understands them.

From visual status detection to priority delivery and workflow deep linking - this update makes webhook notifications clearer, faster, and more actionable.

If it sends a webhook, Hooktap makes sure you understand it instantly.
